The festive season is here, and you must be busy making different delicacies every day. No matter which South Indian snack or dish you make, your fridge must be stocked with regional chutney recipes, apart from classic coconut spread, for a delightful indulgence.
It is prepared using roasted peanuts, tamarind, garlic, and green chillies. Temper it with mustard seeds and red chillies before serving with snacks.
Inji means ginger. This chutney is perfect for dosa, idli, and pesarattu. Add tamarind for sourness and jagger for sweet notes to make this recipe a delight.

Puli is tamarind chutney which adds tangy notes to every snack. You can add garlic to it for earthy notes and enjoy it with rice dishes and dosa.
Chana dal or paruppu chutney flaunts a coarse texture. Blend lentils with coconut and green chillies and top it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
