The kitchen sink is the gateway for roaches and other insects to enter the space and contaminate the food as well as the surroundings. Moreover, a dirty sink makes the entire space smell fishy, which can be embarrassing. Here are a few quick tips to clean it.

Remove Stains

If the sink has water or food stains, you can use hydrogen peroxide to remove them. Dip a cloth in the chemical and rub it on stains. It will also disinfect the sink.

Clean Faucets

Dip a toothbrush in vinegar and water solution and start scrubbing the faucets and handles. After 5 minutes, rinse them with tap water and wipe off excess liquid.

Disinfect

Bleach is an excellent disinfecting agent that you can use to get rid of all kinds of germs and small insects. Mix it with water before wiping the sink with it.

Use Ice And Salt

Pour ice and salt into the garbage disposal. Run cold water through it to dislodge and wipe away any kind of buildup. It ensures freshness.

Use Baking Soda

Sprinkle baking soda all over the sink. Use a damp sponge to scrub the surface, and rinse it thoroughly with water. The space will shine like a new sink has been installed.

Rub Lemon

Since lemon has acid in it, you can cut one in half and rub it all over the surface of the sink. It will disinfect and deodorise the surface.

Use Dishwashing Soap

If you want to clean the sink without hassle, scrub it with dishwashing soap and warm water solution. You can add lemon juice for citric freshness and remove dirt and grime.
