Wrap In Paper

To keep the fresh produce healthy and safe for consumption, store it in the refrigerator after wrapping it in a paper, tissue, or paper towel.

Maintain Cleanliness

Keeping the kitchen clean and dry is essential to keeping the food fresh. It will also prevent moulds and pests from attacking the food.

Cook In Small Batches

In monsoon, you must avoid cooking in large batches unless you are expecting company. Cook in a small amount, finish it, and cook again. 

Avoid Contamination

Keep raw food away from the cooked dishes. You should also keep raw meat far from vegetables and fruits to prevent contamination.

Monitor Humidity

Monitor humidity levels in the kitchen and get a dehumidifier if necessary. It will keep the air dry. You should also keep the exhaust fan running while cooking.

When you are storing pulses or grains, always add anti-fungal ingredients like red chillies and neem leaves in a mesh bag and keep it inside the container.
