Stains are no one's best friend. Be it sweat stains or greasy marks, they all ruin our outfits. Thankfully, the kitchen is both the source and solution of such problems. Here are 6 kitchen ingredients that can help remove stains!

Artificial Sweeteners

These packets not just add sweetness to your beverages but are also effective in removing grease from your clothes. Use the sweetener to blot the stain, allowing the fine powder to soak up oil from the fabric.

Milk

Who would've known our usual calcium provider is also a stain remover? Soak your chocolate stained (or even ink stained) clothes in milk overnight and then put them through your regular wash cycle.

Bread

This ingredient is just everywhere- in sandwiches, toasts, and even as a stain remover! Wipe off those lipstick marks off your clothes by rolling the bread's centre into a ball and blot the stains. Nature's own sponge is here!

Soda

If you ever want to get away with murder (just kidding), but for real though, soaking your clothes overnight in soda removes blood stains and reduces any marks it may leave behind.

Corn Starch

When there are stains on silky surfaces or leather or other delicate fabrics, you know you have messed up. Thankfully, corn starch does just the trick. Blot the powder onto the stained area and let it sit until it absorbs the stain and you can wash it off.

White Wine

What rubs off red wine stains? White wine! Neutralize a red wine stain by rubbing some white wine and wash it off!

Lemon Juice

There are a number of stains lemon juice can remove! Rub lemon juice (or a mixture of equal parts lemon and water) onto fabric to help lift the marks. A paste of lemon juice and cream of tartar helps blast ink stains and lemon juice with salt is key to removing streaks from mildew and rust.
