7 Kinds Of Masala Parathas You Must Savour Across India

Masala parathas are the best and most wholesome foods when you are tired and not in the mood to cook. They are easy to make and do not require you to invest hours into preparation. Here are some paratha recipes across India to help you prepare a hearty meal in a jiffy.

Bajra Paratha

In Rajasthan, pearl millet flour is kneaded with carom seeds, cumin seeds, salt to taste, and finely chopped green chillies. Serve it with spinach raita and enjoy.

Pudina Paratha

Knead atta with a tablespoon of pudina puree and finely chopped pudina. Add carom seeds, red chilli powder, and salt for seasoning. Enjoy parathas with plain raita.

Besan Paratha

Knead besan with some atta or maida after combining it with curd, salt to taste, carom seeds, red chilli powder, and hing. Serve these parathas with boondi raita and dry sabzi.

Palak Paratha

While knitting wheat flour, add chopped palak, salt, red chilli powder, and ajwain. Knead a soft dough, roll prarathas, roast them, and serve with pickles of aloo sabzi. 

Methi Paratha

Methi paratha, also referred to as thepla, is a perfect travel food with a week-long shelf life. Add some fenugreek puree and chopped leaves to the dough mixture.

Masala Paratha

Combine wheat flour and gram flour in equal quantities, and season with red chilli powder, chopped green chillies, ajwain, chopped coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and cumin. 

Red Chilli Paratha

Prepare a wet mixture of red chilli powder, cumin seeds, ajwain, ghee/ butter, coriander leaves, and salt. Spread it across the paratha, fold it, roll it again, and roast.
