Citrus Peels

Insects, especially ants, dislike the scent of citrus. The strong smell discourages the ants from entering your kitchen. As a bonus, it spreads a mellow scent in your kitchen.

Bay Leaves 

Bay leaves have natural insect-repelling properties. Place bay leaves in your pantry, where you store grains and cereals to keep moths and other pantry pests away.
