When you are making any non-vegetarian delicacy, especially mutton, it is a better choice to marinate it. The process helps with infusing flavour into the meat pieces and making them succulent. Here are a few tips to keep in mind while marinating the mutton.
You must not forget to add flavourful spices to the marination mixture. The list can include cumin powder, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder, and more.
Adding fat in the form of oil or ghee allows the meat to absorb all the flavours. It will also keep the mutton moist when you expose it to heat for a long time.
Herbs like mint, parsley, and coriander leaves can infuse fresh flavours into the meat. Therefore, add these to the marination mixture.
Ginger, garlic, and onions are among the aromatics that can make the marination more flavour. Finely chop them and add them to the mixture before rubbing them on meat pieces.
Mutton pieces like loin, shoulder, or leg are tender and can absorb the marination. Cook these to make a dish with succulent meat boasting flavours.
Salt is crucial when you are marinating meat. Add an optimum amount of it to tenderise the mutton. You can use kosher salt, sea salt, or rock salt.
To let the mutton absorb the flavours of the marination, massage it. Use your hands to apply the spiced mixture to every part of the meat.
