Tinda or Apple Gourd is a type of squash grown largely in India. They are a good source of protein for winter months. Make this nutritious vegetable even more fun by creating Bharwa Masala Tinda recipe in these 7 simple steps.

Ingredients

500g Tinda, 1 cup mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup paneer 1/4 cup chopped onions, 2 tbsp coriander leaves, 1 tbsp  grated ginger, 1 tbsp chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder & garam masala, 1-1 tsp red chilli powder, coriander powder & cumin powder, Salt to taste, Oil for sautéing and gravy, 1/2 cup finely chopped onions & ginger-garlic paste, 1 cup finely chopped tomatoes, Cumin Seeds , 1/4 cup fresh cream

Step 1

Cut and hollow out tender tinda halves.

Step 2

Mix boiled potatoes, crumbled paneer, onions, coriander leaves, ginger, green chilies, and spices for the stuffing.

Stuff tinda with the mixture and sauté until golden brown.

In the same pan, sauté cumin seeds, onions, and ginger-garlic paste.

Add tomatoes, spices, and cook until oil separates.

Pour in fresh cream, stir, and place sautéed tinda in the gravy.
