Eat more fresh and seasonal fruits, vegetables, legumes, lentils and grains or sources of soluble fibre.
Packed with antioxidants, most fresh herbs and spices can prevent bad cholesterol increase.
Avoid saturated fats like butter and fried foods and opt for avocados, olives, nut butters and oils.
Cold cuts, processed foods and pre-packaged foods are packed with saturated fats, excess sodium and salt.
Avoid red meat and eat more of lean chicken, fatty fish, nuts, seeds, dry fruits, eggs, paneer, tofu, etc.
Don’t eat baked food made of refined flour and opt for healthier flours made of whole wheat, millets and quinoa.
