Bajra, also referred to as pearl millet is a staple of Indian cooking, particularly Rajasthani cooking. Due to its delicious flavour, satisfying texture, and numerous health advantages, this traditional superfood has recently become popular among health enthusiasts. Here are some of the yummy delicacies one can make with bajra at home.

Craving for pancakes, mash two large potatoes, add a few coriander leaves, three green chillies, one chopped onion, one cup bajra flour, and two tablespoons semolina to create a smooth, thick batter. Drizzle a pan with oil, add a ladle of batter, and cook the pancakes.

In a large bowl, knead dough; sift bajra flour; put a dash of salt, ghee, and one cup of mashed cauliflower. Mix well. This is how traditional Bajra roti are made. The dough should be smooth and free of lumps after adding warm water.

Raab is a delicious Bajra drink that can be prepared in just few minutes. Heat up a deep-bottom pan, add ghee, roast some bajra, and then pour in some water and sugar. Put the lid on and let the raab cook. Warm up and serve!

In a pan, combine ½ cup bajra flour and water; reduce heat and let the bajra cook. Next, add chopped vegetables (carrots, peas, onions, ginger, garlic paste), cover, and simmer the soup. When finished, add coriander leaves as a garnish and serve hot.

Bajra flour only needs to be sifted and pan-dried. Pour the flour into a bowl, then stir in a cup of powdered or crushed jaggery, two tablespoons of ghee, and ¼ cup of white-roasted sesame seeds. Blend everything well, form round ladoos, and savour.

Take a cup of bajra flour, three tablespoons of rice flour, one onion, one chopped tomato, one chopped capsicum, three green chilies, and some coriander leaves. Combine all of the ingredients to make a smooth batter. Preheat a pan, add ghee, add a ladle of batter, cook on both sides.

Blend bajra flour, wheat flour, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt. Make a smooth dough, flatten the whole thing with a rolling pin. Cut long strips and make different shapes, and deep fry them. Go ahead and enjoy the goodness at any time.
