Many people fast during Navratri, and what better ingredient than the trusted potato to fall back on? Here are various vrat-friendly potato dishes.
Crispy potatoes are topped with a bunch of masalas. All you need to do is boil the potatoes, deep-fry them and mix a few spices.
It is a gravy dish for fasting. Add potatoes to the tomato gravy prepared using spices, let it cook for some time and serve hot with kuttu ki poori or roti.
Slice up potatoes and bake or fry them; sprinkle some Sendha salt.
Make sure to make these potato fritters with all vrat-friendly ingredients. Dip the potato slices in kuttu ka aata and fry them. Voila! It's ready and you can chomp away.
Boiled potatoes are cooked with the goodness of curd and a few spices to make this dish pairs well with kuttu ki poori.
Aloo ki kadhi can be cooked with singhare ka atta. This would make for a great lunch during Navratri while you are fasting.
Aloo, with the perfect mix of sweet and sour for your fasting days. Add the potatoes to the ghee with cumin and sprinkle with salt, chilli powder and sugar; mix properly. Add lemon juice, and eat this delicious dish with vrat poories or as a side dish; either way, you won't regret it.
