Delhi’s culinary scene is incomplete without street foods. From gol gappe to chhole bhature, Delhiites and tourists cannot have enough of these dishes. If you are from the capital or planning a trip there, note these street foods and try them.
Delhi’s Chandni Chowk features the famous parathe wali gali. You can enjoy more than 20 types of parathas here.
Across North India, gol gappe is the most-cherished street food. Crunchy puchkas are stuffed with aloo and matar and dipped in tangy and spicy liquid.
Punjabi chhole bhature rules Delhi’s street food landscape. From Virat Kohli to many Bollywood celebs, everybody loves to indulge in this wholesome meal.
Many of the gol gappa vendors also sell aloo tikki. A blend of potatoes is shaped like tikkis and shallow fried. Later, it is served with chutney, curd, and boiled peas.
If you visit Connaught Place or Lajpat Nagar, you can savour the best version of Ram Ladoo, served with green chutney and grated radish.
Chhola kulcha is another wholesome dish sold across New Delhi. Tangy and spicy peas accompany thin and soft flatbread.
Deep-fried soft lentil balls topped with curd, cumin powder, and red chilli powder are a heavenly delight that chaat lovers cannot miss.
