Curd has cooling properties which is why it is among the best ingredients to consume in summer. Whether lunch, breakfast, or dinner, you can consume it to keep the effects of heatwaves at bay. Here are some of the curd-based drinks that will help you experience relief from the rising mercury.
Popular in Punjab, lassi is a curd-based drink made by adding water and sugar to it. In this season, you can also add mango and other seasonal fruits to create variants.
It is a classic beverage available across eateries in India. It is made by diluting curd in water and adding black salt, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and roasted cumin powder to it.
If you have a little amount of aam panna left in the refrigerator, blend it with curd. Allow this mixture to chill for a while and enjoy this tangy curd-based drink in summer.
Saffron or kesar lassi is rich in flavour and boasts a creamy texture. Blend curd with sugar and cardamom powder and add half a cup of milk with saffron strands in it.
