No matter how hard you try, there always seems to be one or two slices of bread left in any packet slowly getting stale. Instead of throwing them out, use them up in creative ways.
Cut the bread into cubes and bake at low heat until golden and then store in an airtight jar to sprinkle over your salads.
Bake the bread at low heat until very hard, crush in a bag and add salt, herbs and spices for a flavourful breadcrumb mix.
Generously butter the bread and then layer with an egg and milk mix and jam, sprinkle with sugar and bake till golden.
Soak the slices in a mixture of egg, milk, sugar and cinnamon and then fry until golden for a decadent breakfast.
