Whenever people talk of protein sources, various meats come to mind. Protein isn’t completely restricted to animal-based products. There are many plant-based foods that are rich in protein. Take a look at some of them:

Beans 

Soyabeans consist of high amount of protein. Other beans black beans, green peas, lima beans, chickpeas and kidney beans are also good source of protein.

Lentils 

Lentils and dal are a staple of every household. Increase the intake of lentils like moong and urad to increase the protein intake.

Grains 

Apart from being rich source of carbohydrate, grains are a popular source of protein. Oats, barley, amaranth, quinoa and millets are an excellent source of protein.
