Well, you’d be amazed how many crops benefit from winter sowing, whether to make the most of the extra weeks on the plot or under glass, or to improve the flavor or vitality of the veggies you grow. Here are 6 vegetables you can grow in December.

While garlic can be planted any time from mid-fall to late winter, the best yields are obtained if planting takes place before Christmas. Traditionally it's done on the shortest day of the year, December 21st.
