Oatmeal 

This is the most common and popular type of porridge eaten across the world. It is generally eaten for breakfast and is highly customisable. You can make it vegan using nut milk instead.

Harissa 

Originating in Armenian cuisine, this one is made by using roasted wheat which is called 'korkot.' Many variations of the porridge may include chicken or lamb.

Hasty Pudding 

This is a British creation that was invented in the 16th century. This is prepared by cooking cornmeal or wheat flour in water, milk or both until the porridge acquired desired consistency.

Juk 

This is a porridge hailing from Korea. This porridge has several variations and the traditional and most popular juk in Korea is Ssaljuk which is prepared from rice and enjoyed with salted seafood.

This is an Indian porridge that is popularly made in India. It is commonly made with semolina and several veggies. It is often tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
