Palak moong dal is a delicious and nutritious recipe that you can prepare in winter. It will keep your body warm, load it with iron, and satiate your hunger. Here is a quick recipe.
1.25 cups of water ½ cup moong dal ¼ cup toor dal ½ tsp cumin 1 chopped tomato 2 cup palak 1 tsp ginger, garlic 1-2 slit green chillies Salt to taste ½ tsp Kasuri methi A pinch of hing 2 tbsp coriander leaves 1 dried red chilli 1 tbsp lemon juice 2 tbsp ghee
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds and hing.
Saute ginger and garlic along with green chillies, tomatoes, and turmeric powder.
Drop the soaked lentils into the cooker and pour water.
Sprinkle salt to taste and cook dal for 2-3 whistles.
Open the pressure cooker, and fold in palak leaves. After cooking for 4-5 minutes, turn off the flame.
Drizzle lemon juice on top and garnish the dal with fresh coriander leaves.
