Bajra khichdi is a common dish prepared across Rajasthan in winter and other seasons as well. It is considered a wholesome meal and has many nutrition properties. If you are craving it, check out this easy recipe.
½ tsp hing ½ cup bajra Salt to taste ½ cup moong dal ½ tsp turmeric 1.5 cups water ½ tsp cumin seeds 1 green chilli ½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp ghee 2 tbsp coriander leaves
Wash and soak bajra for at least 8 hours and moong dal for 2-3 hours.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds.
Once the cumin seeds start crackling, add turmeric powder and hing.
Saute chopped green chilli and red chilli powder.
Drop in bajra and moong dal. Pour water and cook for 3-4 whistles.
Serve bajra khichdi with a dollop of ghee and sprinkle coriander leaves.
