Peanuts offer warmth in winter, and it’s fun to indulge in it. You can add it to poha, sabudana khichdi, and other savouries. Peanuts can also be used to make delightful chikki that can be relished every day after meals.
150 grams of jaggery 1 cup peanuts 1 tbsp water 1 tsp ghee
Roast peanuts on a medium flame until the skin starts to come off.
Use a large mortar and pestle to crush peanuts into large chunks.
Heat some ghee in a saucepan along with water and jaggery.
Let the jaggery melt so that you can achieve a sticky syrup with a thick consistency.
Switch off the flame and add crushed peanuts. Combine the mixture well.
Spread the chikki mixture on a plate to cool off. Cut it into pieces and store it in an airtight container.
