Butter masala dosa is the ultimate choice for breakfast. It is crispy, lightweight, and tastes delicious filled with aloo stuffing. If you have the batter ready, here is how to make the restaurant-style dish at home.
2 tsp oil 1 tbsp ginger 3 boiled potatoes 7-8 curry leaves 1 tsp urad dal 1 tsp mustard seeds 2 tbsp coriander leaves ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp turmeric 3-4 cups dosa batter 2 chopped green chillies 2 chopped onions 2 tbsp butter
Heat butter in a kadhai, add mustard seeds, green chillies, turmeric powder, and curry leaves.
Saute onions along with a few spices. Once they are translucent, add roughly mashed potatoes.
Cook the ingredients well because the stuffing amplifies flavours. Keep it aside to cool off a bit.
Spread a thin layer of dosa batter on a hot griddle. Apply butter on the edges and surface.
Once the base is cooked and crispy, spread the aloo stuffing on the dosa.
Fold the dosa and enjoy it with sambar and chutney.
