6-Step Goan Prawn Curry Recipe For Seafood Lovers

For seafood lovers, prawn curry is a soulful dish they can indulge in irrespective of day and time. The Goan preparation is creamy, spicy, and appetising for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients

250 grams prawns 1 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 6 garlic cloves ½ cup chopped onion, tomato 1 tbsp minced garlic ½ cup chopped tomatoes Salt to taste 8-10 red chillies, curry leaves 1 cup coconut milk 1 tsp tamarind paste ½ cup grated coconut 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp turmeric powder

Step 1

Dry roast whole spices and red chillies. Grind them into a paste.

Step 2

Heat oil in a saucepan and saute ginger, garlic, and onion.

Step 3

Once onions have caramelised, add chopped tomatoes, spices, and salt.

Step 4

When the gravy starts releasing oil, add coconut milk, grated coconut, and prawns.

Step 5

Cook the ingredients for 15 minutes until the gravy comes to a boil.

Step 6

Garnish the prawn curry with coriander leaves and serve.
