After a hard week of work, there is something oddly satisfying about lounging on the sofa over the weekend, binge-watching a high-rated masala entertainer. Here are some healthy snacks to munch on during this movie marathon.
Fry some thinly sliced sweet potatoes and season them with salt, pepper and a bit of paprika for a warm snack to munch on during movie night.
Whip up an easy-to-make hummus and slice carrots, cucumbers, radishes, celery to make a healthy snack plate. Season the veggies with salt and pepper.
Munch on foxnuts or makhana and do away with popcorn cravings on movie nights. You can easily roast makhana at home or buy the ones coated in different seasonings.
Combine a handful of almonds, walnuts, cashews, pistachios, dates and raisins to create your own dry fruit bowl. Binge on these healthy snacks that quickly induce a feeling of satiety.
Mix peanuts with some finely chopped onions and tomatoes and add a bit of coconut oil, some chilli powder and chaat masala for a healthy variant of the bar bite.
Roast chickpeas and add a bit of masala, chilli powder and salt to the pan to give them a tempting flavour. Easy to make at home, this crisp is a low-calorie munching for movie night.
