Summers are difficult because you don’t feel like eating, and you are always worried about dehydration. A simple solution to this problem is adding hydrating vegetables to your diet. Most of them are cooling and help to keep heat strokes at bay.
It takes a whistle to prepare a bottle gourd in a pressure cooker. It is loaded with water and light on the stomach. You should try it with steamed rice.
Torai (rigged gourd) and zucchini also have a high amount of water content. While you can enjoy tori with paratha, zucchini can be added to salads and stir-fried vegetables.
Enriched with vitamins and minerals, bell peppers and capsicum must be a part of your diet. They can be enjoyed as snacks, stir-fried, or salads.
Celery is an excellent choice to make your meals hydrating. You can extract its juice or use it to prepare stock.
It is a no brainer that tomatoes contain water. Use them in salads or gravies to make your dishes summer-friendly.
When talking about hydrating vegetables, you cannot overlook cucumbers. You can consume it as is by sprinkling chaat masala on top.
