1 kg red tomato 1 beetroot 2 red chillies fresh 1 tsp black salt 1 tbsp salt 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/4 cup jaggery 1/8 cup apple sider vinegar 1 onion 1 inch ginger 8 garlic cloves 1 bay leaf 1 inch cinnamon stick 12 black peppercorns 4 cloves

In a pan, add chopped tomatoes, beetroot, red chili along with all the spices.

Now, cover the lid and let the veggies, herbs and spices cook until they turn mushy.

When done, take out bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Blend everything into a fine paste.

Again, transfer the mixture into a pan and cook well. Add jaggery and apple cider vinegar.

Cook for 15-20 mins. Put sauce on a steel plate and see if the water drips or not. If the water doesn't drip, you are good to go.

Store this homemade ketchup in a sterilized glass jar and store for a long period.
