As the temperatures rise during the summer months, starting your day with a cool and refreshing breakfast is a great way to beat the heat. In India, traditional breakfast dishes are not only delicious but also offer a variety of flavors and textures to satisfy your taste buds. Here are some great cold breakfasts which can give your day a refreshing start.
Poha, or flattened rice, is a light and nutritious dish commonly enjoyed for breakfast in India. To make Dahi Poha, soak the poha in water until soft, then drain and mix with fresh yogurt, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, onions, green chilies, and a sprinkle of salt.
Raita is a yogurt-based condiment often served alongside spicy Indian dishes to cool the palate. For a satisfying breakfast, prepare a chilled cucumber raita by mixing grated cucumber, finely chopped mint leaves and roasted cumin. Pair it with sattu paratha,
