Dry fruits are dense in nutrients and adding it into winter diet helps in keeping the body warm. Here are five tips to store it.
It is very important to store dry fruits in an air-tight container, preferably opaque glass jars to ensure their longevity.
Always store them in cool and dark place to keep them fresh for a longer period.
Toast them for four to five minutes in an oven to extend their shelf life. You can also use a pan instead of oven.
If you have a habit of purchasing nuts and dried fruits in bulk, store them in the freezer. This will extend their shelf life up one year.
Never store dry fruits near strong flavoured foods like garlic or onion, as they can absorb their flavours.
