The monsoon season’s humidity can make your favourite snacks and meals turn soggy and ruin their crispness and texture. To ensure that it doesn’t happen, here are some tips you can keep handy.
Ditch the polythenes and invest in good quality air-tight containers. Store your snacks tightly in the jars to keep them moisture-free.
Silica gel packets can absorb moisture from the air. While storing dry food, you can use safe packets to maintain the crunch.
Let hot food cool down completely before storing it, as it would prevent condensation, which can turn food soggy.
Wrap fruits and vegetables in paper towels to help absorb excess moisture and prevent spoilage.
For leftovers or foods with low shelf-life, don’t forget to keep the moisture away by refrigerating.
