Planning to make idli for breakfast? Follow these tips for better results.
To get fluffy idlis, use idli rice or parboiled rice instead of long grain rice.
Soak rice and separately for better results as both rice and dal need different quantities of water to turn soft.
Use wet grinder instead of mixie or food processor for preparing the batter.
For better results, add flattened rice to the batter, this helps in faster fermentation and also makes the idlis soft and fluffy.
Adding soaked fenugreek seeds to batter not only aids fermentation but also makes the idli fluffier.
