From korma to kofta, everything tastes better if it is paired with Naan; a leavened, desi flatbread made with maida and yeast. But how do you make it softer, some tips..
It is a common practice to mix both all-purpose flour and wheat flour. Ditch the latter, make the dough with just all-purpose flour for soft naans.
Do not forget some oil while making the dough, so that it does not stick to the surface and you get your soft, delish naans.
Take some lukewarm water, mix a spoon of yeast in it and let it rest for a while then add it to the dough and mix. Yeast is essential for the naan to be soft and stretchy.
Along with yeast, also add some yoghurt to the dough to make it ultra-soft.
Do not forget to rest the dough after you have kneaded it well. Let it rest for half an hour and then start making your naans.
Spruce up your naan by rubbing masala or garlic paste over it and make some flavourful naans at home
Since it is difficult to have tandoor at home, cook your naan on high flame. Grease the pan with butter, place the naan on top and flip the pan downwards and cook.
