Use Clean, Sterilised Jars

Always store chutneys in clean, airtight glass jars. Sterilising them helps prevent bacterial growth. 

Refrigerate

Keep your chutneys in the refrigerator, especially if they contain fresh ingredients like mint, coriander, or curd. 

Use Oil as a Preservative

Pour a thin layer of oil on top of the chutney to seal it from air, preventing spoilage. 

Add Vinegar or Lemon Juice

These act as natural preservatives, keeping chutneys fresh by inhibiting bacterial growth. 

Avoid Wet Spoons
