Choose the Right Milk 

Choose whole milk or a higher-fat non-dairy milk, such as oat or almond milk. The fats make it velvety smooth and add air to the surface, making it look frothy. 

Use Real Chocolate 

Instead of relying solely on cocoa powder, incorporate real chocolate into your hot chocolate mix. Grate or finely chop the chocolate to ensure it melts smoothly, enhancing the overall creaminess and frothiness. 

Heat Gradually  

Make sure the milk doesn't burn by heating it slowly over medium heat while stirring continuously. The proteins in the milk can only form a stable froth if heated slowly.
