Chapped, lifeless lips are indicators of dehydration and fatigue especially during dry or humid climes. Here are some foods that can help moisturise lips to prevent dullness and leave them supple and healthy.
Rub generous amounts of almond oil on the lips to moisturise them and prevent dryness.
A natural exfoliator and anti-inflammatory, dabbing lips with honey can help to get rid of dry, dead skin and prevent them from contracting infection.
Make a paste of milk, turmeric and honey and apply it on the lips like a mask for a soft and supple feel.
Use a good Aloe Vera gel or extract some from a plant to gently rub on the lips. Aloe Vera has a cooling effect which soothes dry lips.
Use coconut oil for cooking and for gently massaging the lips. The anti-inflammatory, rich in fatty acids, will nourish the lips and keep them moist.
