Most urban Indian kitchens utilise LPG cylinders or pipelines to cook everyday meals and while seasoned cooks find installing LPG cylinders to be child’s play, installing them correctly in the kitchen is essential for safety.
Select a well-ventilated area in your kitchen for the gas cylinder installation. Ensure that the location is away from any heat sources or electrical appliances.
Place the gas cylinder in an upright position and secure it using a cylinder stand or clamp.
Before connecting the gas cylinder, inspect the regulator and rubber tubing for any signs of damage.
Attach the regulator to the cylinder valve by aligning the threads and turning it clockwise until it is firmly secured.
Once the regulator is connected, open the cylinder valve slowly and briefly to check for any noticeable gas leaks.
