Rice paper, traditionally used in Southeast Asian cuisine, can be creatively incorporated into Indian recipes to add a unique twist to traditional dishes. Here are five Indian-style rice paper recipes that are both delicious and innovative.
Fill rice paper with a mixture of spiced potatoes, peas, and carrots seasoned with garam masala and turmeric. Roll them up and serve with mint chutney.
Use rice paper as an alternative to traditional samosa dough. Fill with a spicy potato and pea filling, fold into triangles, and bake or lightly fry.
Stuff rice paper with grilled paneer cubes, onions, and bell peppers, seasoned with tandoori spices. Serve with a side of yoghurt dip.
Layer rice paper with boiled chickpeas, diced potatoes, tamarind chutney, and yoghurt. Garnish with sev and fresh coriander for a crunchy, tangy snack.
Create a dosa-like wrap by filling rice paper with a traditional masala dosa filling of spicy potatoes. Serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
