5 Punjabi Snacks That Rule Our Heart

Punjabi food, like Punjabis have travelled the world now. From Saag to butter chicken, the options are endless, there’s much to savour in the world of snacks too.  

Amritsari Fish 

Not just chicken, Punjabis can spruce up their fish too. Amritsari fish, a batter-fried sole fish sprinkled over with chaat masala is proof.  

Amritsari Kulcha

This loaded flatbread often comes with a spicy potato stuffing. Slathered over with butter, kulcha is served with pickle or chickpea curry.  

Chole Bhature

The brunch staple across Punjab and other neighbouring regions, Chole here is a spicy chickpea curry that is paired with a puffy bread called Bhatura. A match made in heaven indeed. 

Punjabi Samosa

Samosa is a triangular, deep-fried pastry that is often filled with samosas, keema, dry fruits. The Punjabis have their own spicy version, try it. 

Matthi

Mathhi or Mathri is a round, shaped, crispy, savoury biscuit that is a popular tea-time snack. You can pair it with a tinge of pickle for an exquisite treat.
