Heard Of These Indian food That Are Forbidden Abroad ?

There are some food items that are exclusive to a country (or region) and some that are surprisingly banned in some countries. 

Samosa

This popular snacks in India is prohibited in the South African region of Somalia. They say the triangular shape of the snack seems to be a symbol of Christianity that offends the Islamist "Al-Shabaab group.

Chewing Gum

Singapore restricted the use, distribution, and trade of all kinds of chewing gums in 1992 due to its strict rules for cleanliness.  

Ketchup

France banned tomato ketchup after the French government noticed excess consumption among teenagers. 

Chawanprash

While Chawanprash is said to be loaded with healthy nutrients that nourish us from within, but Canada government banned it in 2005, citing high levels of lead and mercury content in the product. 

Ghee

Did you know that the United States banned ghee because their Food and Drug Administration found it may cause diseases such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, and even obesity?
