People often get confused with the Greek yoghurt and regular yoghurt stalked in the shelves of the store. People might think they are the same, but they are not. They have some major differences in taste and composition although they may look similar. Take a note of the differences:

Also known as concentrated or strained yoghurt, Greek yoghurt is made by repeated straining and gives the required thickness. Yoghurt or regular dahi has more water content and is strained once or twice.

Greek yoghurt is thicker than regular yoghurt and has a better taste . While regular yoghurt has more water content in it.

Greek Yoghurt has more saturated fat and protein as compared to plain dahi. Regular yoghurt has more carbohydrate and sodium content than Greek Yoghurt.
