5 Common Mistakes To Avoid While Brewing Coffee

To kickstart the morning, people often indulge in caffeinated drinks like coffee. Besides, to experience a perfect warm, cozy winter, coffee seems to be the perfect drink. But people often make mistakes while brewing perfect coffee. Take a look at the common mistakes that need to be avoided:

Refrigeration Storage 

The first common mistake that people make is by storing coffee beans in the refrigerator. The roasted coffee beans have holes in them which may suck in moisture and smell of other food, affecting its taste.

Filter Paper Usage

If you’re using Aeropress or Pourover technique, always wet the filter paper first and then drain the water. This will keep the taste of the paper out of your brew.

Brewing Coffee With Boiled Water 

Stop brewing coffee with boiling water. Boiling water results in a more bitter flavour and acidity to the coffee.

Using Pre-Ground Beans 

Coffee begins to lose its freshness and flavour once grounded. Instead of grounded coffee opt for whole coffee beans and ground them when needed.

Use A Small Amount Of Coffee

A light coffee with barely any coffee will not provide much needed caffeine. Add 30 gms of coffee to 180 ml of water for perfect cup of coffee.
