1810

The wedding of King Ludwig I and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen becomes the first version of Oktoberfest.

1813

Oktoberfest is temporarily cancelled for the first time for the Napoleonic Wars.

1824

Andreas Michael Dall’Armi is honoured as the creator of Oktoberfest.

1850

The statue of Bavaria is unveiled and hailed as the guardian of Oktoberfest.

1881

 A roast chicken stall opens for the first time!

1910

The 100th anniversary of Oktoberfest is celebrated. 

1950

The first keg is tapped in the Schottenhamel tent. O'zapft!

2022

Oktoberfest resumes after a 2-year hiatus!
