Cappuccino is a creamy, frothy drink made with a rich shot of espresso and topped with velvety steamed milk foam. It's a perfect balance of strong coffee and smooth milk. When served in a cafe it is usually dressed up with a sprinkle of cocoa or cinnamon for added indulgence. Achieving this at home is possible too.
1 cup whole milk 1/4 cup freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee Cocoa powder or cinnamon Sugar
Brew a shot of espresso or make strong coffee using your preferred method. French press or instant coffee works too.
Heat milk in a saucepan or microwave until warm, but not boiling.
Use a milk frother, blender, or whisk vigorously to create foam.
Pour the hot espresso into a cup, add sugar.
Slowly pour the frothed milk over the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon, and then spoon the foam on top.
Sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon over the frothy top and enjoy your café-style cappuccino at home.
