Everyone loves a bit more convenience in the kitchen. Microwaving dal might seems blasphemous to some, but we promise you get the same delicious taste in a fraction of the time. Here's how to do it.
300 gm masoor dal 700 ml Water 200 gm baby spinach leaves (roughly chopped) 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste
Wash the lentils till the water runs clear.
Add the dal, water, spinach, ginger, turmeric, cumin and salt to a large bowl and microwave for 15 minutes.
½ small onion, finely sliced 4 cloves garlic, finely sliced 2 green chillies, chopped 1 tablespoon Ghee or oil
Sizzle all the tadka ingredients in ghee, pour over the cooked dal. Serve with white rice.
