Don't bother ordering food when you can make restaurant-style chow mein in just 15 minutes! This simple recipe comes together in a flash and takes amazing.
250 gms egg noodles (cooked) 1 tablespoon oil 250 gms of protein of your choice 1 carrot, thinly sliced 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced 1 cup shredded cabbage 2 cloves of garlic, minced 1 tsp grated ginger 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp oyster sauce Pinch of sugar Salt and pepper to taste Sliced green onions for garnish
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add thinly sliced meat or tofu and stir-fry until cooked through then set it aside.
In the same skillet, add sliced carrots, bell peppers, and shredded cabbage. Stir-fry the vegetables for 2-3 minutes until they are crisp-tender.
Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add minced garlic and grated ginger to the other side. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Mix everything together in the skillet and add cooked noodles. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of sugar.
Pour the sauce over the noodle and vegetable mixture . Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the noodles are evenly coated and heated through.
Return the protein to the skillet and toss everything together Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions.
