Rajasthan, a vibrant state in northern India, is known for its rich cultural heritage, colorful festivals, and mouth-watering cuisine.  The state's snacks are primarily vegetarian, and it boasts a variety that are both delicious and nutritious. 

Kanji Vada

A popular Rajasthani street food snack made from lentil fritters soaked in a tangy and spicy fermented drink called Kanji. It is a perfect snack for the summer season.

Moong Dal Pakoda

This crispy and crunchy snack made from yellow lentils (moong dal) mixed with spices, herbs, and onions, then deep-fried until golden brown.

Pyaaz Kachori

This is a savoury pastry stuffed with a spicy onion filling and deep-fried until crispy. It is often served with mint chutney.

Methi Mathri

Famous across India, this crunchy snack made from chickpea flour and spices, is a favourite of many people. It is often eaten with tea or as a topping on chaat.

Raj Kachori

A much loved chaat, this a giant Kachori stuffed with a mixture of potatoes, sprouts, and chutneys, topped with yogurt, pomegranate seeds, and sev. 

Michi Vada

Seen across India, but especially popular in Rajasthan this spicy snack is made by stuffing large green chillies with potato filling and then dipping them in a gram flour batter before frying.

Ghevar

This Rajasthani dessert is often eaten as a snack. It is a round-shaped, honeycomb-like pastry made from flour and soaked in sugar syrup.

This is a popular Rajasthani dessert and snack made from coarsely ground wheat flour mixed with jaggery or sugar, and then shaped into balls
