Winter is said to be the perfect season for jaggery as it is packed with vitamin C and iron. It makes our desserts healthy and helps in fighting against seasonal cough and cold and further keeps us warm during winter. Here are 10 jaggery based desserts to try this festive season.

Jaggery Kheer

Made with very few ingredients such as rice, milk and jaggery, this scrumptious dessert is also known as rasiya and raskheer. In order to add aroma to the dish, cardamom and other dry fruits are also added.

Ela Ada

Ela Ada is a traditional Kerala delicacy, consisting of rice parcels encased in a dough made of rice flour, with fresh coconut and jaggery fillings, steamed in banana leaf and served as an evening snack.
