  • 6 No.s Chicken drumsticks deboned
  • 20 gram Ginger cut into thin shreds
  • 20 milliliter Light soy sauce
  • 20 milliliter Dark soy sauce
  • 20 gram Sugar
  • 20 gram Honey
  • As required Salt
  • 1 tablespoon OIl for frying chicken

  • STEP 1.-1)in a large mixing bowl place 6 deboned chicken drumsticks, 20 gm thinly shredded, 20 ml light soy sauce,

  • STEP 2.-2)20 ml dark soy sauce, 30 gm sugar, 20 gm honey and salt to taste.

  • STEP 3.-3)mix all the ingredients well and leave in the refrigerator to marinate for 2 hours.

  • STEP 4.-4)after 2 hours remove the pieces of meat from the bowl and keep aside.

step 5

  • STEP 5.-5)pick out the pieces of ginger from the meat and retain the marinade liquid in the bowl.

  • STEP 6.-6)using kitchen paper towels pat dry any excess juice off the meat.

  • STEP 7.-7)in a frying pan heat 1 tbsp oil and place the pieces of chicken skin-side down in the hot pan.

  • STEP 8.-8)turn the heat to low and fry the chicken for 5 to 8 minutes.

  • STEP 9.-9)then turn the pieces over, with skin -side up and continue to fry for another 5 to 8 minutes.

  • STEP 10.-10)fry until the chicken is cooked through and evenly browned on all sides.

  • STEP 11.-11)then remove the chicken from the pan and palace in a dish.

  • STEP 12.-12)turn the heat to high and add the marinating juice retained in the bowl. Bring to a boil.
