Celebrity couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who legally tied the knot in 2020, hosted a grand wedding reception for family, friends and industry colleagues in Mumbai on October 4. Many pictures and videos from the party have been going viral on the internet, and all we can say is that it was a fun, starry night to remember. The guests list included everyone - from Hrithik Roshan with Saba Azad, Tabu, Vicky Kaushal, Vishal Bhardwaj to Mallika Dua, Shweta Tripathi, Kusha Kapila and more. And thanks to the guests, we also know what was on the menu, including an impressive three-tier wedding cake.
Mallika and Kusha, in particular, shared photos and clips from the bash that included what they noshed on, and we are drooling. There was one picture of them eating gol gappas at a chaat stall, which Mallika described as the “highlight of our night”. Kusha, too, shared the same picture and wrote, “golgappas >>>”. In another picture, Mallika gave us a snippet of the menu of the party, and wrote, “Celebration of love. Between humans. Between humans and gol gappas. Between humans and coconut milk rasmalai. Between humans and tequila”. Take a look:
It seems like Richa and Ali curated the menu quite consciously, including the choice of vegans with rasmalai made with coconut milk – a vegan alternative to dairy milk. Isn't that an amazing idea?
In another set of photos and videos, we saw the couple with a lavish three-tier wedding cake, which they were struggling to cut. The grey-coloured cake - decorated with white and purple flowers, along with green leaves - was truly one of the highlights of their reception. It was simply too beautiful to eat (or rather, a little difficult to cut!), as the couple seemed to be struggling a bit to cut the huge cake, and had to take help from some of the guests, including one who appeared to be the chef. Earlier in the evening, photos of the wedding reception cake being carefully carried inside the venue also made their way online. Take a look at the video:
The ‘#RiAli’ wedding kickstarted in Delhi with a lavish sangeet and cocktail party, of which we shared details with you regarding how ‘filmy’ the bar was and how the couple had got a halwai to make fresh Shahi Tukdas for the guests. Besides, it was reported how the menu had a Delhi vibe as many dishes were curated keeping in mind Delhi’s flavour, including Rajouri Garden’s Chole Bhature.
