'Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye' - this phrase is common in my house after almost every meal. I can forever drool on desserts, with gulab jamuns and rasgullas being my favourites. Talking of sweet dishes, those from Italy are also world-famous. Which ones have you tasted? If you haven’t yet, fret not. This article will give you the recipes for some of the best-known Italian desserts that you can quickly make at home. The remarkable thing about these sweets is that you can include them in your menu without much preparation.

Tiramisu

Ingredients:

  1. Mascarpone cheese - 1 tsp
  2. Sponge cake - 4 pieces
  3. Whipped cream - 1 tsp
  4. Expresso - 1 tsp
  5. Coffee - 2 tsp
  6. Sugar - 2 tsp
  7. Egg - 2

Method:

  1. First, put coffee and espresso in a vessel and mix it well. 
  2. Now, put the yellow part of the egg with sugar in another vessel and mix it well.
  3. On top of the coffee, the vessel pours the egg mixture and keeps it aside for some time.
  4. Add the sponge cake piece to this mixture and add whipped cream and coffee powder.
  5. For half an hour, keep the cake in the fridge.

Zabaione

Ingredients:

  1. Strawberries - 1 cup finely chopped
  2. Whipped cream - 1 tsp
  3. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  4. Sugar - 1 cup
  5. Salt - 1/4 tsp
  6. Eggs - 2

Method:

  1. Put strawberries, sugar and salt in a vessel and mix it well.
  2. Now, take out the yellow part of the egg in another vessel and mix it by adding vanilla essence and light sugar.
  3. Heat water in a vessel and keep the egg mixture in the pot. 
  4. Cook it for some time and take it out.
  5. Garnish the egg with strawberries and whipped cream. 
  6. You can also add chocolate biscuits if you want.

Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

  1. Sugar powder - as needed
  2. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  3. Fresh cream - 1 cup
  4. Mango pulp - 1 cup
  5. Gelatin - 1 tsp
  6. Milk - 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Put gelatin in a cup of water and mix it well in a vessel.
  2. In another container, put milk and bring it to a boil. 
  3. Now add sugar powder and vanilla essence and mix it well.
  4. After this, put the mixed gelatin in the milk and keep stirring the milk. 
  5. After thickening, turn off the gas.
  6. Now, put this mixture in a glass or any other vessel, add mango pulp and keep it in the fridge to cool down.
