Nothing will kick-start your morning like a zesty bloody mary Our weekend brunch spread isnt complete without a make-your-own bloody mary bar, and this recipe is the perfect base for experimentation. It stands on its own and pairs well with lots of different toppings and garnishes. What makes this bloody mary recipe so special? Weve updated this classic cocktail to include horseradish and spicy-hot vegetable juice instead of regular tomato juice. The horseradish brings multi-dimensional spice and tang, and the spicy-hot vegetable juice works with the hot sauce to make a spice-lovers dream drink. If youre not a fan of spice, feel free to use regular vegetable juice and leave the hot sauce on the side. Weve included a nice selection of garnishes, from pickled okra to lime wedges, but feel free to go all-out and garnish with strips of bacon or whole shrimp. You can also rim the glass with celery salt for an extra punch of flavor.
