In Japanese, the word Yasai, refers to vegetables, while the word Itame, comes from the word itameru (炒める) which means stir fry. While the name may suggest that it is a vegetarian dish, more often than not, this stirfry can contain a very minimal amount of thinly sliced pork or sausages.
